CBBC welcomes all new and returning players to the club as well as parents, guardians and caregivers.
We are affiliated with the Perry Lakes Hawks who run the Perry Lakes Hawks Junior Basketball Competition. This competition generally runs from March to September. Exact dates can be found on our club calendar as they vary slightly each year.
Basketball games are based at one of Australia’s best basketball stadiums, Bendat Basketball Centre, 201 Underwood Avenue, Floreat. Our growing competition means we also train and play at Lords Recreations Centre, 3 Price Street, Subiaco.
The competition schedule generally aligns with the second and third terms of WA school calendar.
CBBC enters age-based teams into the Perry Lakes Hawks Junior Basketball Competition. The number of teams we enter into this competition is limited and therefore we have a waitlist for the overflow of players wanting to get into a team. The club does not apply a waiting fee.
Most games are scheduled on Saturdays between 8am and 6pm.
We often schedule Girls Mini-ball, Girls U/14 and U/16 on a Friday after school, with U/12 Girls playing after 2pm on a Saturday.
Are you aiming to play at a higher level?
The Perry Lakes Hawks are part of the Western Australian Basketball League and invite the best domestic players to play in the WABL teams. Look out for emails regarding trial dates or check out the Hawks website.
BWA also run development pathways for elite athletes. More information here:

- Under 8 Mini-ball: caters for mixed teams of boys and girls currently in year 2: born between 1st July 2012 – 30 June 2013
- Under 10 boys: born between 1st July 2011 – 30 June 2012
- Under 10 girls: born between 1st July 2011 – 30 June 2012
- Under 12 boys: born between 1st July 2010 – 30 June 2011
- Under 12 girls: born between 1st July 2010 – 30 June 2011
- Under 14 boys: born between 1st July 2009 – 30 June 2010
- Under 14 girls: born between 1st July 2009 – 30 June 2010
- Under 16 boys: born between 1st July 2008 – 30 June 2009
- Under 16 girls: born between 1st July 2008 – 30 June 2009
- Under 18 boys: born between 1st July 2007 – 30 June 2008
- Under 18 girls: born between 1st July 2007 – 30 June 2008
